Electrical shock currents, passing through the human body,
confuse its internal nervous system. This causes the body to
react to the passage of current through it as follows :
- 3mA – a tingling sensation is felt.
- 10-15mA – muscle spasm and tightening occurs.
- 20-30mA – the heart may fibrillate; severe shock is felt.
- >50mA – lethal. Fibrillation of the heart occurs.
