Symptoms
You are unable to install the new XenApp Online Plug-in for Hosted Apps 11.2 and receive the following error message:
“Error:Citrix online plug-in
The requested operation for the Citrix online plug-in has failed. To see more information, click View Log.
Contact the help desk and provide the log information.”
Note: You can receive the following possible errors during attempt to install:
If you select to view the log file, you find the following content.
14:28:45: Error – CComponentManager::GetInstallStatus(400) – Installation NOT successful for ‘HDX Flash’, error: 1603.
14:28:45: Warning – CComponentManager::GetInstallStatus(405) – Installation NOT successful for ‘Program Neighborhood Agent’, it never fully tried to install, possibly due to issues.
14:28:45: Warning – CInstallationManager::UpdateUninstallInfo(912) – No install components succeeded. Not adding uninstall entries.
14:28:45: Information – CApp::SetExitCode(32) – Exit code is 1602 (called with 1602)
14:28:46: Error – CMainDialog::CMainDialog(40) – GetComponentManager() returned FALSE on GetInstallStatus().
Cause
Citrix HDK MediaStream for Flash – Trial Release – Server is conflicting with the installation of the client.
-Or-
Possible XenApp Plug-in installation file corruption exists on the machine.
-Or-
Third party applications or an anti-virus program may have interfered causing a failure or blocking of a successful Plug-in installation.
Resolution
Go to Add/Remove programs and if you have the Citrix HDK MediaStream for Flash – Trial Release – Server installed, you will need to uninstall it.

To address file corruption you may need to take the following actions and do a fresh installation:

Run the FTACLEAN tool to reset any previously registered application file type associations prior to attempting the install.
