Manage archival data

As we grow in time, our past learning transform to a vast data heap to be managed effectively to make efficient use of it whenever needed.  In this article, I’ll share some critical factors to be considered

  1. Data safety (no question of loosing data) and security (no question of loosing unauthorized access to the data).
  2. Ease of accessibility (how fast backup/restore or upload/download  and at what level file level).
  3. Scalability to support your future data

Email:

The most common/primary form of today’s electronic data is email. Here are few options to manage email

  1. The simplest and very common option is to export to .pst and carry over.  However, .PSTs turn huge and becomes difficult to be accessed from anywhere.
  2. Sync all your email with a reliable public unlimited mailbox providers via IMAP. Once you have all your email on public email system you can access at from anywhere at the ease of accessing your public mailbox.
