What is Verified By Visa ?
Verified by Visa is a new service that will let you use a personal password with your Axis Bank Visa card, giving you added assurance that only you can use your Axis Bank Visa card to make purchases over the Internet. The process is simple to use and secure:
To use the facility, you would:
   – Connect to the Internet and shop online using your Axis Bank Visa card.
   – You don’t need any special software to use Verified by Visa.
   – Using this facility is as easy as using a PIN for ATM transactions.

How does Verified by Visa work?
Verified by Visa provides you with a password to protect your online transactions, just like you use your PIN at an ATM. Here are the steps:
  – Select the goods or services you want from a Verified by Visa online store and proceed to the payment page.
  – Enter your Axis Bank VisaCard number and the online store will connect with Axis Bank to check whether your Card is secured with  Verified by Visa.
  – Axis Bank initiates a Verified by Visa pop-up window on your computer screen that includes your Personal Message.
  – Look for and confirm your Personal Message, then enter your password. Axis Bank will then confirm your identity to the merchant.
  – Your payment is authorized and your order is placed. It’s that simple!

Can I register with my existing Axis Bank Visa card or do I need to apply for a new one?
You can register with any of your Axis Bank Visa card including Travel Currency Cards for this service.

Can I register with more than one Axis Bank Visa card?
Yes, you can register one or all of your Axis Bank Visa Credit/Debit/Travel Currency Cards.

How do I register my Axis bank Visa card ?
You need to register for the service through the Axis Bank Website.

Can I register my non-Visa payment cards with Verfied by Visa?
Currently, Verified by Visa is only offered to on Visa card.

After I register, how long does it take for Verified by Visa to become active on my card?
The registration process is completely online and instantly completed. Your registration successful message is displayed at the end of the registration process and you can start using the facility to shop securely on the Internet straightaway.

Once I have registered, how do I use Verified by Visa when I shop online? 
Once you have registered, you will be able to use Verified by Visa service right away on participating merchant sites. For a full listing of these merchants, please visit your local Visa website. You will also find the Verified by Visa online shopping demo at these websites.

Do I need any special equipment or software on my computer?
All you need is an Internet connection with Internet Explorer 5.0 and above, or Mozilla Firefox 2 or above. To find out if your browser is compatible, go to the "Help" menu in the upper right of your browser and select the "About" option. It should tell you what version is installed on your computer.

Can I use Verified by Visa from any computer?
You can use Verified by Visa at any PC that has an Internet connection with Internet Explorer 5.0 and above, or Mozilla Firefox 2 or above.

What is a Personal Message?
When you register for Verified by Visa, you may be asked to create a Personal Message. When you pay online, always look for this Personal Message to ensure that Axis Bank is authenticating you.

Where can I shop with Verified by Visa?
Look for the Verified by Visa mark on participating online stores or check the list of current participants on your local Visa website.

How will the online store know that I have Verified by Visa?
Participating online stores will automatically recognize your Axis Bank Visa card number if you have registered it for Verified by Visa.

What if I forget my password?
If you forget your password, you may reset your password (create a new password) after entering your Credit/debit/travel card number, ATM PIN and card expiry date.

If I suspect someone has stolen my password or used it to make fraudulent purchases, what should I do?
Contact Axis Bank immediately by email at customer.services@axisbank.com/debit.card@axisbank.com/travel.currency@axisbank.com.

Can I get the benefit of Verified by Visa security at online stores that are not participating in the service?
No. Axis Bank Secure Internet Payment is available at only Verified by Visa websites.

What happens if I shop at a Verified by Visa merchant website while I’m not registered for this feature?
You will be prompted for online registration for Verified by Visa by Axis Bank. You would need to authenticate yourself with your Axis Bank Credit/Debit/Travel Currency card number, ATM PIN and card expiry details. You can choose your password to be used for Verified by Visa.
Thereafter, you can continue shopping on the merchant website. If you decide not to register immediately and transact through your normal Credit/debit/travel currency card, then your transaction will not get authorised and you would not be able to complete the transaction on such websites.
