Degraded Performance of Internet Explorer

Symptoms

The functioning of the Internet Explorer degrades in the following scenario:

  • When Internet Explorer is streamed to the client computer
  • When the Citrix Single Sign-on agent is running on the client

Cause

By design, when an Internet Explorer is streamed to the client computer, it is unable to communicate with a locally installed instance of Citrix Single Sign-on agent.

Resolution

To resolve the preceding issue, create a rule to ignore named objects in the Internet Explorer profile.

To create a rule, complete the following procedure:

  1. Open the streamed Internet Explorer profile by using the Citrix Streaming Profiler for Windows.
  2. Right-click the Operating System and select Properties, as shown in the following screen shot:

  1. In the Target Properties dialog box, select Rules.
  2. Click Add, on the right-hand side of the dialog box.
  3. In the New Rule dialog box, select the Ignore option in the Action section.
  4. Select the Named Objects option in the Object section.

  1. Click Next.
  2. In the Select Objects dialog box, select All named Objects.
  3. Click Next.
  4. In the Name Rule dialog box, specify a name for the rule.
  5. Click Finish.
  6. Save the profile to the network profile directory.
