I just realized that ICICI Banking requires Debit Card for any online transactions…for online fund transfers, internet shopping/banking, transaction password generation/reset, etc., Further surprising thing is that you can’t place any online service requests as even they require debit card for Authorizing you to place a request.    To add to that you can’t get a Debit card online, you need to visit any of the branch to place a physical request to get the card (will be issued if branch has cards in stock).
