Symptoms
The Domain Controller security logs display a large number of failure audits, which point to <Event ID 529>. The Event ID 529 is displayed hourly on the Domain Controllers. Following are the details of the errors:
Cause
This issue might be because of the SMA script that runs and enables IMA to Query the Domain Controller for information. There are various reasons for the failure of this script. It might occur if an OU or user name in AD contains a “”.
Resolution
Install the required hotfixes.
Limited release Hotfix PSE450R06W2K3065 is available upon request but it is available publicly in Hotfix PSE450W2K3R07.
Hotfix PSE450W2K3X64R07 and PSE450R06W2K3X64051are for 64-bit servers.
