This article describes how to bring a XenApp Server back into load balancing after it has been removed by Citrix Health Monitoring and Recovery.

Background

The Health Monitoring and Recovery is a feature that can run tests on vital components of a XenApp server and a server farm. When an error is detected an administrator can choose specific recovery actions to respond. One of these actions is to remove the server from load balancing.

It is not possible to enable load balancing for this server again using the Delivery Services Console.

Procedure

If a server is removed from Load Balancing due to a Health Monitoring Test failure, it will remain out of Load Balancing until one of the following actions occurs:

The enablelb command is executed from a command prompt
Or –

The server is rebooted.
