LANDesk Deployment Behavior and Issues

Download and install behavior:

1. Doesn’t downloads next files if uninstall script (any part of the dependent package) fails
2. Downloads updated package files but doesn’t install if it’s already installed
3. For NOT applicable patches, LD says path is “not detected” and NOT Installed.
4. Running local LD vulscan.exe fails when run in mstsc non-console session on Terminal server installed servers

Issues:

1. One major disadvantage with converting packages to patches is that, we can’t trigger patches install as and when needed as it may cause machine reboots.
2. Doesn’t recognize -64bit portions of Win7
