Summary
The web plug-in 12.1 (a component of the Citrix online plug-in) is included as part of the XenApp 6.0 for Windows Server 2008 R2 Common Criteria evaluated configuration. The registry settings referenced in this article should be applied as described in the “To configure the file security preferences” section of the Common Criteria Evaluated Configuration Guide for XenApp 6.0 for Windows Server 2008 R2.
Important: Once applied, these settings, alone, are not sufficient to place the web plug-in in the evaluated configuration. To ensure this component is appropriately secured for inclusion in the evaluated configuration, all procedures described in the “Securing the Deployment” chapter of the Common Criteria Evaluated Configuration Guide must be followed in full, in addition to applying these registry settings.
Requirements
Caution! This procedure requires you to edit the registry. Using Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious problems that might require you to reinstall your operating system. Citrix cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the incorrect use of Registry Editor can be solved. Use Registry Editor at your own risk. Back up the registry before you edit it.
Procedure
For Windows 32-bit workstations:
- Download the .zip archive, CC_Settings.zip, and extract the file CC_Settings_x86.reg.
- To apply the registry file, open Registry Editor and import the file.
- Log off the workstation and then log on again.
For Windows 64-bit workstations:
- Download the .zip archive, CC_Settings.zip, and extract the file CC_Settings_x64.reg.
- To apply the registry file, open Registry Editor and import the file.
- Log off the workstation and then log on again.
