Issue: Citrix Applications/Sessions Doesn’t Launch After ICA File Download

Symptoms:

  1. When click on application/sessions published through Citrix either via PNAgent or Web Access, you’ll see the Citrix session connection status, running logon scripts and download of the ICA file but there won’t be any application/session launched for you on the desktop.
  2. When you open Citrix Connection Center from systray icon, you’ll see the session connected to your Citrix server when you click “Full Screen” it just shows you a blank Citrix Window
    Troubleshooting Steps:
  1. Identify the .ica file and run manually see if that launches the application/session for you
  2. Ensure that your Citrix XenApp Plug-in (either Web/Online or Host plug-in) is a supported version for your XenApp server
  3. Ensure that your desktop platform is a supported version
  4. Specifically verify the browser version if it’s supported by XenApp Plug-in
    Fix:

  1. Upgrade your Citrix XenApp Plug-in  to the latest version
  2. Test the same application via other browsers (different versions of Firefox/IE)
