On Win7 x64-bit:
There is no 64 bit Flash for x64bit IE. Flash Player support on 64-bit operating systems (http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/000/6b3af6c9.html)

IE patch gets installed even when Flash is in-use and loads new Flash when IE is re-launched
a. Until IE is re-launched
- all existing pages and it’s sub-pages/tabs will use the in-use version of Flash
- newly opened IE pages loads the newer Flash
When Flash is in-use in Firefox,
- update install fails silently and
- removes previous version Flash player entry from ARP on both XP and Win7
- in some cases reverts to older version of Flash
- until Firefox is re-launched loaded all existing pages and it’s sub-pages/tabs, new pages as well will use the in-use version of Flash
- if Firefox is re-launched before Flash install, Flash pages doesn’t load and notifies users to install Flash plug-in
- Administrative/LANDesk install of Flash succeeds even if
- Firefox is launched with same flash web pages since they can’t load the Flash files.
- Opened/broken Flash Firefox pages works on simple page reloads
- “install Missing Plugins..” option disappears once user clicks on it
- Manual domain user install of plug-in fails as below:
4. When Firefox exits, upgrade works fine and installs the latest Flash
