- Have Windows 7 bootable CD/DVD ready, in case of .iso have it mounted to a virtual drive.
- If yours is a Intel CPU based PC, then enable Virtualization Support in BIOS settings.
- Create new VM and boot the VM from Win7 bootable installer location
- A base Win7 ultimate x64-bit edition requires a minimum of 8.8 GB disk space, so allocate more space as per your requirement.
- Once machine build completes, install VMWare Tools as well followed by MSFT Automatic Updates install.
