ICICI Banking requires Debit Card for any online transactions…

I just realized that ICICI Banking requires Debit Card for any online transactions…for online fund transfers, internet shopping/banking, transaction password generation/reset, etc.,

Further surprising thing is that you can’t place any online service requests as even they require debit card for Authorizing you to place a request. 

 

To add to that you can’t get a Debit card online, you need to visit any of the branch to place a physical request to get the card (will be issued if branch has cards in stock). It’ll take around 24 Hrs to get it activated.

 

 

Error

There is no active ATM / Debit Card for this Account


Suggestion

You will need a valid ATM / Debit Card of the account from which the funds are being transferred.


If there is no ATM / Debit Card issued for the selected account or if the ATM / Debit Card is reported as lost, hotlisted, expired then the authentication will fail. In such cases, you may want to Apply for a new ATM / Debit Card.

* If you do not have an ATM/Debit Card issued for your ICICI Bank Account, you may apply for a new ATM/Debit Card by visiting your nearest ICICI Bank Branch.
