Configure Http(s) URL default launch program
Scenario: Sometimes even when you keep your default browser to IE, you notice that clicking on hyperlinks/URLs in applications like Outlook/Word launch them in a different browser say Firefox. Cause: This happens because though you have IE as your default browser, the default programs for HTTP(s) are set to launch from other browser program say Firefox as shown below. Fix: One has to explicitly set the default programs for HTTP(s) application types via Default Programs Control Panel applet as shown below:
